MenConnect at The Rock, June 2024:

Pause, Reflect & Connect

The Rock
21/06/2024 6:00 pm - 23/06/2024 2:00 pm

MenConnect@theRock is a brand-new Mens Wellbeing event held on the weekend of the 21st to the 23rd of June at the Rock, our wilderness campsite in the Brisbane Valley, South-East Qld – about an hour from Brisbane city.

Our aim is to provide an opportunity for an affordable, weekend event that is suitable for new and experienced men in which we can explore more deeply the MenConnect theme of Pause Reflect Connect which has been so successful in our one-day MenConnect events.

Primarily, we’ll be camping out, but there are accommodation options in the pole house and the bunkhouse for men who prefer to not put up a tent.

Our legendary Mens Wellbeing camp Chef James Baird will be doing the catering so the food will be awesome, as you who have sampled his fare will well know.

We’ll use the time-tested tribal group format for group sharing.

There’ll be free time built into the program around facilitated sessions.

And, of course, some circle work around the fire.

If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of, we’d love to have you there.

Bookings are essential as numbers are limited.

If you have questions please take a look through the FAQs below, but if there is a question that we haven’t answered use the “send us a message” below and we’ll be right back to you with an answer!

You can indicate you are joining the Muster when you book your ticket, and details of the muster will be finalised in the week prior to the event and communicated by email. Drivers of 2WD vehicles with low clearance will be able to leave their vehicles at a safe place on the way in and will be ferried to the campsite by 4WD. Note that mobile phone signal ends at the start of Mount Byron Road.

Absolutely! Rollicking belly laughs are part and parcel of the our men’s gathering experience. We all have been boys once and having fun is part of our birthright! All activities are voluntary, not that we expect anyone to NOT want to join in, but if you’re needing a nap, to play or just some time to chill; it's your event. Many men come along to our gatherings simply to relax, network with other men and enjoy a light-hearted "men's space" of camaraderie and like minds. Men can attend workshops they feel drawn to, or not.
