Bedrock is a yearly event where our Mens Wellbeing Elders gather together for 3 full days.
Bedrock is not just for Elders – we encourage men within our community to attend. Sit around the fire with us, dive into discussion and enjoy the fellowship of men coming together in circle.
However, due to the nature of the event, attendnce is limited to men who are familiar with “mens work”
Bedrock is different from other major events in that
– we don’t have workshops or workshop facilitators
– we don’t have a heart circle
– often the opening and closing ceremonies are low key
Across the gathering you’ll find:
Rather than providing a program full of presentations, Bedrock creates space for men to learn from one another—to listen deeply, speak honestly and discover together what mature masculinity looks like in practice.
There comes a time in every man’s life when the questions begin to change.
Less about achievement – more about contribution.
Less about proving yourself – more about becoming someone others can rely upon.
Bedrock is a gathering for men who are exploring what it means to explore life as a way of being.
Whether you already serve as an elder in your family, community or Mens Wellbeing, or you’re simply interested in being in the presence of Elders, Bedrock offers a place to pause, reflect and grow alongside other men walking a similar path.
Over three full days we gather around conversation, ceremony, practical wisdom and shared experience to explore the qualities that shape mature leadership in our ever changing world.
If Bedrock isn’t about Eldership, what is it about?
Bedrock is not about having all the answers.
It is about asking better questions.
It is about recognising that eldership is not something that happens on a single day—it is cultivated through experience, humility, relationship and service over a lifetime.
As one path of initiation comes to completion, another begins.
Bedrock exists to support that journey.
Bedrock welcomes men who are:
You don’t need to call yourself an Elder to attend.
If you’re willing to walk the path, you’ll find good company here.
There are four options for accommodation:
Pitch a tent – if you need your car next to your tent – let us know – allowable trafficable areas on site are limited.
If you wish to bring a caravan or camping trailer you must select the ‘van or trailer’ ticket type when you book as spaces are limited and so are the allowable trafficable areas on site.
The third option, if you’d prefer not to camp, is to sleep in a 4 man bunkhouse.
The fourth option is an 8 man bunk house with searate amenities block
